The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Sunday at 489.67 points, losing 0.58% or 2.85 points. The general index fell 0.46% or 1.21 points to 261.59 points.
Trading volume reached 64.03 THD shares, at a turnover of $116.2 THD, traded through 53 transactions by 13 companies, of which three gained, five dropped and five remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were: Global Com Telecommunication by 12.5%, Union Construction and Investment by 2.5%, and Jerusalem Cigarette Co by 1.2%. Whereas, the top three decliners were: Palestine Development and Investment by 2.27%, Arab Islamic Bank by 1.79% and Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications by 1.39%.
The most active companies were Palestine Development and Investment, Palestine Telecommunications and Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications with a trading volume reaching 43.55 THD, 6.73 THD and 3.74 THD shares respectively.
On the sectors level, the investment, the banking and financial, and the service indices declined 1.33%, 0.56% and 0.19% respectively, whereas the industry index inched up 0.05%.
